Limitation of Responsibility and Medical Journey Outcomes

Limitation of Responsibility and Medical Journey Outcomes Affordia Health provides healthcare journey coordination and related non-clinical support services.

Clients acknowledge that international healthcare journeys involve circumstances and decisions that are outside the control of Affordia Health.

Affordia Health does not guarantee the success of a medical journey, treatment, procedure, diagnosis, recovery, travel arrangement or other outcome.

A healthcare journey shall not be considered unsuccessful solely because the client does not achieve an expected medical, personal, financial, scheduling or travel outcome.

Affordia Health is responsible for the Affordia Health services specifically agreed with the client, subject to these Terms and applicable law.

Medical Responsibility Affordia Health does not assume responsibility for the independent clinical acts, omissions, judgments or medical outcomes of hospitals, doctors or other healthcare professionals.

Healthcare providers remain responsible for diagnosis, treatment, procedures, medication, informed consent, clinical decisions and medical care.

The client remains responsible for deciding whether to accept or decline proposed medical treatment after consultation with the relevant healthcare professional.

Independent Third Parties Airlines, hotels, transportation providers, healthcare institutions, insurers, government authorities and other independent third parties remain responsible for the services and decisions within their respective control.

The fact that Affordia Health identifies, contacts, coordinates with, books, recommends or otherwise assists the client in accessing an independent provider does not by itself transfer responsibility for that provider's independent performance to Affordia Health.

Assumption of Ordinary Journey Risks By proceeding with an international healthcare journey, the client acknowledges that healthcare and international travel involve inherent uncertainties and risks.

These may include treatment changes, additional examinations, complications, appointment changes, delays, cancellations, travel disruption, additional expenses and other circumstances that cannot always be predicted or controlled.

The client voluntarily decides whether to proceed after considering the information available to them.

Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Affordia Health shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or purely economic losses arising from circumstances outside the reasonable control of Affordia Health or from the independent acts or omissions of third parties.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

No Outcome Guarantee Payment for an Affordia Health service is payment for the agreed service and not for a guaranteed medical or travel outcome.

We coordinate the journey. Healthcare professionals provide the healthcare. The client makes the final decision.
